Tell us about your business:

Focusing on your business can be difficult and stressful. My business is to help you grow your business. Your business will become more profitable and less stressful. With my help you will find some balance and perspective and if things go to plan, a whole lot of extra cash!

What are your top 3 networking tips?

  • Consistency – be consistent in your efforts. Don’t show up once and expect to make lasting relationships.
  • Don’t be a networking tart – choose carefully! Find a network that has members who target the same market as you do.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want – if you would like an introduction to a particular person or business, ask for it!

What can’t you live without?

Apple, anything Apple (not the fruit, the company). iPhone, iPad, iMAC… the list goes on.

Which Business Book Would Your Recommend & Why?

Love Marks by Kevin Robertson. The message is clear; if you want people to spend wad loads of cash with you, give them a reason to fall in love with your brand.

How Did Your Find Out About BNI & Why Did You Join?

It is recommended that all Small Fish Business Coaches join BNI. I tried one chapter but was not sold. Luckily I met Natalie Alaimo from Natalie Alaimo International who invited me to a Visitors Day at the Infinity Chapter. Five minutes in I was sold!

What value & benefit have you or your business gained by being a BNI Member?

Most of my professional life was spent oversea’s so the most value I have from BNI is an amazing group of people who have become my network. They are my motivation at the start of the week and my sounding boards at the end of the week.

Of course I should add that I have also signed five clients from BNI and that saved me in my first year of business.

What Do You Wish Someone Had Told Your When You First Joined BNI?

Everything you hate about it at first will become what you love later down the track. I hated the monotony of the same schedule every week. Now I love it! I love that we all get a chance to pitch our business and that the meeting is controlled. I have been to so many other networking events feeling a bit let down that there was zero organisation.

Do You Have a BNI Story to share?

I received a call from a local business looking for a business coach, I met with them and discovered they needed a logo update. I left our Graphic Designers card behind. Two weeks later he got a call which has lead to them now out sourcing all design work to him. He noticed they needed some professional photographs so he referred them on to our Photographer. That is now three people that have benefited. The business now calls me anytime they need anyone as I am seen as the person who can recommend quality businesses!
