The PromoDonna is a Melbourne-based sales and marketing firm.

We create high quality B2B sales leads and meetings through cold calling and prequalification. We see ourselves in a different space from your average telemarketing company, as we are a Team of highly experienced sales people with a good track record, and who never work from a script. We are consistently required to deliver complex messages to high level executives, so the traditional unprofessional, ‘telemarketing’ approach just won’t work. What are your top 3 networking tips?

1. Have a clearly defined ‘elevator pitch’ ready. How you introduce yourself and what you do is integral. With a great pitch, you can leave a lasting impression.
2. Get clear on who your Ideal Client is. When networking, you want to identify who you could assist, or who may be able to refer you onto others.
3. Be authentic: Be yourself! People love working with people who are genuine; this helps to build trust.

What can’t you live without?

My telephone! Not only is it the main tool for my business, but I love speaking to people!

The E-Myth. I read this when I first got into business and I loved learning from Michael Gerber the distinction between working on your business and working in your business.

How Did Your Find Out About BNI & Why Did You Join?

I actually learnt about BNI when I was working for a Sales Firm, prior to starting my own business. I saw the amazing network that it provided to Business Owners, and loved the fact that essentially you had a room of people out selling for you! Only months into running my own business I joined the BNI in Brighton.

Not only has my business generated a consistent amount of closed business from the referrals I’ve received in BNI, but I have built strong relationships and a network that is priceless.

What Do You Wish Someone Had Told Your When You First Joined BNI? 

To make the most of my membership by not only building relationships within my group, but by extending this by visiting other Chapters. I have found great value in doing this over the last few years.

Do You Have a BNI Story to share?

There are so many I wouldn’t know where to start – each week I get calls saying ‘I met you at BNI‘ or ‘I heard of you through BNI!’
