How Did Your Find Out About BNI & Why Did You Join?

A mentor/ coach of mine suggested I come along. I did and checked out a number of chapters before I settled on AAB, 5 years ago. I felt at home in AAB from the moment I walked in.

How Long Have You Been a Member For?

5 years

What Position/s On The Leadership Team Have You Held?

President, Vice President, Membership Committee, Visitors Host

What value & benefit have you or your business gained by being a BNI Member?

Clarity, generosity, fun, focus, accountability, amazing friendships and a lot of clients and money.

What Do You Wish Someone Had Told Your When You First Joined BNI?

What I make sure I tell people who join now: Everyone around the table wants to pass referrals to you. If they don’t, there is only one reason for that: You are not making it easy enough for them.

Do You Have a BNI Story to share?

Half my life seems to revolve around BNI these days. I have many stories because of that. I love the connections I have made and the depth of the relationships that have developed within but also outside my direct membership.

When I met my wife 3.5 years ago, she was very taken aback and sceptical about the whole BNI thing and for 2 years she referred to it, with a bit of a sneer, as ”The Cult” … but now she is a member herself… more committed than I… I won!

Your Dream Referral Is…

A small business owner in the building trades or professions (designers, architects, engineers, web development etc.) who is determined to grow his or her business by at least 25% per year for the next 5 years, in Sydney.
